I was thrilled when I heard about the East Coast Trip because I got to go both my friends, to the other side of the country. It was definitely an experience I won’t forget. I got to go to so many different states and I learned so much about US History, architecture, and friendship. There were so many fun things jam-packed into eight days that I can’t believe I got to do.
Day One
First we went to the Boston Commons and explored the park. The park had statues, fountains, nice benches, a lake, and lots of trees, plants, and grass. Then we did a Duck Boat Tour through Boston. On this tour, I got to learn about the history of Boston, the people who were there and are buried there, and the buildings. Turns out, Boston is famous for a lot of firsts; First school of the US, first chocolate factory, first building code, and more. Next, we did a our of the great Fenway Park! We git to sit in all the different sections including the Press Box and on top of the “Green Monsta’”. We also got told different stories and learned the history. Finally, we went to the Boston Public Library. Most people sat around and hug out on the grass or by a fountain, but me and my friend went inside to explore. It was gorgeous and had an awesome courtyard.
Day Two
To start our day, we went to Lexington and saw the battle green and then to Concord (in New Hampshire) to see hills, trails, and Louisa Alcott’s House (the lady who wrote “Little Woman”). Today was a learning filled day indeed. Then, we went and lured Harvard which was beautiful, and no, “Legally Blonde” was not filmed there. Then we did a lot of walking to see the Bunker Hill Monument, the USS Constitution, and took a walking sightseeing tour in the pouring rain. Finally, after dinner, we did a ghost tour of Boston where the guide basically took us around the city and told awesome murder stories.
