One of the big things I wanted t happen in my life was to be in actual falling snow. I had seen it on TV and on other people’s social medias and I had wanted to experience it ever since. I FINALLY DID and it was in Grand Canyon National Park! Needless to say it was awesome and one of my favorite memories that trip.
During our hike that day which followed Hermit’s Road, we were in small flurries off and on. I had really hoped that the storm would pick up and dump some snow later that day.
We had finished our day, on our last day in the park, when it had started storming. Eventually the snow was coming down in a million powdery flakes. We turned around and ended up going back to one the lookouts. There was an insane amount of white powder (… at least in my opinion it was) that covered the trees, bushes, ground, and canyon.
Carter and I could peel the snow off the trees and we made snowballs to thrown into the depths of the canyon. We got to play in it and shake the branches towards each other. I had so much fun in the snow and I can’t wait until I get to be in it again. Being from central part of northern California, I don’t know when the next time that will be, but I’ll be waiting.
I was so excited that I finally got to be in falling snow! Check out my YouTube video below to see more of the snow:
