Boston Trip in Two Days

September 15, 2017

I was thrilled when I heard about the East Coast Trip because I got to go both my friends, to the other side of the country. It was definitely an experience I won’t forget. I got to go to so many different states and I learned so much about US History, architecture, and friendship. There were so many fun things jam-packed into eight days that I can’t believe I got to do.

Middle McCloud Falls

Waterfall Hiking in McCloud Falls and Hedge Creek Falls

September 12, 2017

Getting to hike in the wilderness is the best kind of adventure. This time my family and I went up to the Shasta area to hike to see the parts of McCloud Falls and Hedge Creek Falls, which were both flowing with water because of all the rain. That day, we hiked about a total of seven miles to see all four waterfalls (plus the small dam) we were hiking to get close to.

The first one we saw was Lower McCloud Falls which was the smallest. That one was only a few minuets from the trailhead so it was no big deal getting to it. It was small, but it looked like an amazing picnic spot and had a huge swimming hole at the bottom along with a nice creek at the top.

Placer Food Bank Leadership Team

Placer Food Bank Volunteer Day

September 5, 2017

Today was a school holiday and instead of relaxing and enjoying the day off, some of the Leadership Team and I went to the Placer Food Bank to volunteer. We bagged 540 bags that go to kids for their weekend meals. It’s an amazing feeling to know that you did something good for your community and got to help people in need. It was really neat getting to see and learn about how Placer Food Bank gives so much food to, not only children, but entire families also. It was a great experience to bond with some of the girls from the SVMS Leadership Team and to support a good cause.

Placer Food Bank supplies our local hunger-relief partners with the food necessary to bring hope and nourishment to those in need, so that they can focus on what matters most: raising their children, supporting their families, and giving back to their community.”

Washington DC US Capital

Philadelphia and Washington DC

August 30, 2017

Visiting Philadelphia and Washington DC on the East Coast trip was awesome. I’m happy we went here because of all of the amazing things we got to see in these two places. There was so much to do, you might want a few more days than we had.

Finally Fourteen With My Friends

August 30, 2017

Finally 14! My birthday was spent with my favorite friends and an amazing dinner with my awesome family. I also had my friends over for a super fun party and we all hung out together and had a great time swimming and rocking out to music. I also had a sleepover after, too for even more fun and laughs.

Be Yourself

Being Nerdy Is Great

August 25, 2017

One thought. One thought is the most important. Be yourself and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise and if they do, they don’t deserve you. Being yourself is the most important thing in my mind. You are unique, special, and there is only one person in the 7 billion in the world that can be you. That person is you. Whether you are an athlete, a musician, and artist, a computer person, a cook, or any other thing there is out there it’s who you are. No one on the world could possibly be you, so you have to!

Here’s an example from my life:

New York Boat Ride

Visit New York

August 20, 2017

On the East Coast Trip with my school, we only spent two days in New York and it’s really all you need to see the awesome city.

Day One

This day was a lot of driving, a five hour bus ride. Luckily as soon as we got there, we started with fun. First we did the Metropolitan Museum of Art and it was amazing. The only thing was that it’s huge and has tons and tons of exhibits to see, but the building itself was beautiful.

Spring View Middle School Promotion

Eighth Grade Promotion

June 10, 2017

Eighth grade at Spring View has been amazing and I have loved it. I had great teachers and learned so much, plus laughed a lot. I was sad to leave that school, but I am so excited to go to high school!

Promotion was awesome because I got to give the closing speech, which I had to audition for in front of my classmates and my four core teachers. This was a huge deal for me because it means that my teachers actually liked me. Plus, I love public speaking. I was super nervous to give the speech at promotion because my entire academy of about 140 people and their whole families would be watching me. I practiced A LOT to the point where I practically memorized it. Doing over and over in my mirror helped a lot and then I had confidence in myself to do it. When it came to the day I presented it flawlessly and everyone was clapping loudly. My grandpa even gave me a standing ovation.
