Cardboard Palace

Cardboard Kingdom

December 28, 2012

Welcome to my cardboard palace! This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a large living roomed palace is unlike any other kingdom.

First, we stared out at Ikea getting some shelves and other stuff for our new Lego room. After my mom and dad unpacked the boxes, they tossed the boxes off the top of the stairs. While they put all the cabinets and furniture together, my brother Carter and I got to work.

We stood up the boxes to make the first few walls and figured out that we were definitely going to need A LOT of duct tape. We started with the walls, then the door, and then added separate separate rooms, creating our cardboard palace little by little.

Once the structure was in place, we began adding details like cardboard shelves to put our Christmas candy stashes in! We added cardboard furniture (the bathroom, beds, and windows, etc), and finally, we decorated, put up pictures, and moved in!

Believe it or not, we camped out, slept, and lived in our cardboard palace for more than a week! This was definitely our best fort ever!

Here are some photos!
