Sometimes things aren’t always perfect. Let’s say you’re playing with a sibling or friend and they make you mad, you can either:
- Sit out, pout, be mad at them, and have no fun.
OR
- You can just move on, forget about it, and have fun.
Any time you feel like like you want to sit out and pout, first think to yourself, “Will I have the most fun doing this?” The answer will be NO!
For adults it’s similar. Let’s say a co-worker, client, or even a family member makes you feel mad. You can either:
- Turn your back on them, ignore them, and continue to be mad at them.
OR
- You can talk to them, figure out what really happened, and if needed, apologize.
If you are ever mad at someone, think to yourself, “Will I make stronger bonds or relationships doing this?” The answer is NO.
I found this great quote I love that I want to share with you about this topic:
Too often in life, something happens and we blame other people for us not being happy or satisfied or fulfilled. So the point is, we all have choices, and we make the choice to accept people or situations or to not accept situations. — Tom Brady
Being mad and ignoring them only weakens your bond with your client or co-workers and weakens family relationships. For everybody, try not to get super mad at someone, just move on and let it go.
