We just got back from a magnificent and exiting vacation — camping at New Brighton State Beach in Santa Cruz!
Early one morning, we woke up early and decided to take a walk on the beach to look for seashells. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We thought it was going to be a normal walk along beach until… We found a living crab! It was alive and AWESOME!
Check out the video of the crab in action:

All of us thought it was insanely cool that we found an live crab crawling along the beach. I thought it was funny that the crab walked sideways instead of back and forth. I think it’s because they have eight legs including the pinchers, and maybe they find it easier to walk that way?
While we were on the beach, the crab wasn’t the only thing we discovered.
We also found sea anenomies all along the rocks in little crevices and holes. While the crab was the best part of our walk, we did end up finding lots of neat seashells too!
